Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist
I tried everything to quit smoking.
And I mean everything. Cold turkey. Nicotine patches. Candy cigarettes. Fasting camping trips where I left the cigarettes at home — only to binge on martinis and Camels the moment I got back. I even tried places where clothing was optional.
I honestly didn’t believe hypnotherapy would work, but, perhaps like you, someone told me about it, so I tried it. It was definitely not what I expected. I was hoping it would feel like a magic wand and I would be permanently healed, but it was more like something deep inside cracked open, and a tiny light began to grow — and gave me back the power of choice. It was just enough that I chose differently each time I thought of a cigarette. And kept choosing, until I opened a door I didn't know existed.
At 36, after a divorce, a career loss, and a death, I walked into the ocean in frigid, shark-infested waters and learned to surf. I know — it sounds insane. It was. It also saved my life.
That's when I understood what real transformation feels like. It’s not waving a magic wand, it’s finding the light, opening a door, and stepping through it.
That is exactly what we do here.
My approach is intuitive, body-centered, and multi-layered. I weave together hypnotherapy, somatic EMDR processes, therapeutic imagery and NLP to address the patterns running in your subconscious and your body's memory, and to forge new pathways, new patterns, and real, measurable results.

some things you should know about me
My professional life has been eclectic: Fortune 500 boardrooms, Hollywood (I helped birth Wilson in Cast Away), marketing, entrepreneurship, and writing stories people sometimes threaten to turn into movies.
I started surfing at 36 — after a divorce, a career loss, and a death — in frigid, shark-infested waters. It changed my life forever.
I swam with tiger sharks, on purpose, using self-hypnosis to stay calm. It worked.
I've been married, divorced, single, madly in love, betrayed, and healed.
I lost my mother to COPD from smoking. My brother to addiction. My step-sister to addiction and mental illness. I cared for my mother in my home until her death. I know what it means to watch someone trapped in a pattern they can't escape.
I'm mom and dad to a spectacular daughter, now in her third year at Brown.
Sean Connery poured my tea and kissed me on both cheeks in London.
I quit smoking (with hypnotherapy), drinking (with AA). I am not letting go of sugar. At least, not yet.
I’m so grateful to have built a life where I can see the ocean from my living room.

You don't need someone who's only read about anxiety in textbooks.
You need someone who's been in the grip of it, broken free, and knows exactly how to guide you through.
If my story resonates - if you see yourself in any part of it - that's not an accident. You're in the right place.
